Unsigned DeLizza and Elster, aka Juliana bracelet, confirmed by Frank DeLizza at the 2005 VFCJ convention...older style 5-link oval bracelet, with "saphiret ovals" set on each link. Clear white rhinestones and glass flowers with heart shape petals. 7" long, white metal, secure fold over clasp. Safety chain. This bracelet has to be seen in person to totally appreciate it! The saphirets catch your eye with that brilliant blue flash. Saphiret, originating in Czechoslovakia in the 19 th century, is an art glass that combines gold with other unknown materials, to a basic sapphire blue glass to create a mysterious, soft, pinkish, chocolaty brown that flashes blue. The making of saphirets is a lost art. These DeLizza and Elster jewels with saphiret are rare; I have only seen a couple in the last 20 years.

Serious D & E bling! This wonderful "Juliana" bracelet is a confirmed piece. One of the reference points for Delizza and Elster clamper bracelets was the wire used for mounting, please note that the type of wire that was used, was the one with square edges. This bracelet has the square wire foundation that starts at the hinged area and gradually widens at the top of the bracelet. This bracelet is also confirmed on Discovering Juliana, an online group that I belong to. The clear chaton rhinestones are prong set completely around this bracelet in rows, the centerpiece is a large cluster of blazing white rhinestones forming a circle. This bracelet is rhodium plated shiny silver tone metal and is in excellent condition. Bracelet will ft up to a 7 ½" wrist.

Five-link DeLizza an Elster, "Juliana" bracelet, is mounted with Saphiret rhinestones on each of its five rectangular links. This brilliant bracelet is also set with clear chatons to give the overall bracelet a blazing light that sends colors dancing off your wrist. This wonderful bracelet has been in my personal collection and has been well cared for. This incredible bracelet was purchased in Paris, France many years ago, when I was just starting to collect vintage costume jewelry. It is not marked in anyway. I have shown this bracelet to many experts and most agree that that the tortoise insets are Galalith; an early plastic used a lot in France and Europe in the early 20 th century. The bracelet is a clamper style, with square wire construction. Art Deco motif of flowers sits atop the giant square of Galalith. The clamper opens to the side and even the back is decorated with prong set marquise and chaton rhinestones. The rhinestones are clear and bright. There are some tiny surface scratches to the side panels from wear. Nothing that will detract or even be noticed unless under close inspection. This bracelet will fit up to a 7 ½" wrist. Centerpiece measures 2" x 2 ½", side panels are 1 ¼" x 1 ½". This bracelet is a sizeable piece. Other than the noted exceptions above, this bracelet in excellent condition and will be a note-worthy addition to any collection.
